In the past there would be one job or industry that would be transformed by innovation. With AI multiple industries and jobs are affected at the same time. That is the real issue that will cause unemployment to spike.
Electricity affected lamp lighters, cotton gin affected labor in the fields, cars were the catalyst for the horse poop street cleaner to lose his job.
Many of these were gradually adopted and only affected their small area. AI is affecting so much l, so rapidly, you’ll have to have people learn new trades in technology or you’ll be going the way of the Dodo.
