AI (artificial intelligence) is just an umbrella term for the many disciplines of machine learning using math. "Deep learning" is just machines doing pattern matching but over lots of data, and being able to iterate millions of times faster than a human could. It's "learning" only in the send that it's can traverse data fast and therefore evaluate data faster than a human.
