the quote is so fucking demonic whwt the fuck. the difference between ants and humans is that ants are doing labor that actually enriches the lives of themselves and their peers. humans are coerced by the threat of malnourishment and homelessness to do fake jobs made up people that are born into wealth to convince themselves of their own superiority rather than face the fact that their position in life was given to them on a silver platter. Meanwhile the humans that actually do jobs that serve their communities, while under the same threat of hunger and lack of shelter, are overworked and undervalued.
AI is the natural endpoint of pointless jobs, ppl all convinced that effort is synonymous with monotony and suffering bc all the things they put effort in feel, and sometimes truly are, ultimately pointless. Coupled with the devaluing of art orchestated by those same people born into wealth, people think that effort for the sake of art is the peak of pointlessness
