Here's an idea: when we go full automation, people keep starting and managing companies but all the shares and stock go into a national trust fund, and the total profits get distributed to all residents of the nation and governmental service budgets. Obviously, to avoid management "accidentally" giving themselves salaries equal to their company's earnings, we'd have to establish a cap on salaries.
We get free enterprise, entrepreneurs still get to get their "running a business" freak on, nobody needs to fill out an income tax form, and everybody profits. Literally.
