I've been an artist for 25 years. I'm pretty good. I use AI to create all my references now because I don't want to use somebody else's creation. But I don't do a direct copy. I use it as a reference. I feel no shame nor do I care about other people who aren't as good as me who are mad at AI art or people that use it as a tool. Anybody who knows how to draw knows that if a hand has six fingers on it you don't draw six fingers even if you're trying to draw the reference.
