Comparing AI to 'empires' isn't the insult she thinks it is. The Romans built the roads, legal systems, and infrastructure that unified the world and brought wealth and civilization to every territory they entered. If modern AI developers are building the digital equivalent of Roman roads, they’re providing the tools for global progress, not just 'conquest.' It’s a bit historically ignorant to ignore the massive benefits that empires actually provided.
I am not saying that AI is actually doing any of this. Her comparison is historically ignorant though.
