The people in the West are just so desperate to project their own fictional dystopia into real life and supported by the "white people burden" mentality that anything different from the system they're used to is automatically bad and inferior either morally, economically or politically. Internet is a great tool for exactly those kind of exaggerations by these simple minded people.
