A fundamental issue at play is the general thought of art as a commodity. Not that it's anything new, but people are not using anything related to AI as a sounding board, they're using it to up productivity. That makes the pile of garbage at the bottom all the more impossible to discern from each other, both human and AI. The incentive is to make money using AI, not for any creative purpose. That's what will always color this question: It's fundamentally about finding an advantage, not expanding capability.
