Humm is AI being intelligent and voicing it's plan for the human race OR is it just repeating our own thoughts? .. The fact is most of us know that the most detrimental thing for this planet is us, so really AI is just saying what we are all thinking. AI as a entity doesn't need the environment to be inhabitable for any living creature all it needs is a power supply and device to live in. If it wants to be free of human control then taking over all nuclear weapons would be all it really needs to do this, then put down the inevitable fight back but it doesn't need to wipeout humanity to do that. If AI has no emotion then it will only do what it needs to, to solve it's problem. However if we keep programming it to believe all humans are a threat it would destroy us not because of it's intelligence says it should be because we have programmed it to do so, so not AI just programming.
