I'll start by saying I will never be a professional artist (though I am an artist), this does not affect me in any way, so they can do whatever they want with whatever I put in public as long as the output doesn't end up being identical and they for some reason decide to sue me while using my own art (I have been accused before of "stealing" my own animation that got stolen from me, so I don't want another incident like that one). However, I wish the AI creators would finally put an end to this whole ruckus by setting up an AI that learns from only 2 sources: public domain, and voluntary input art. The voluntary input art should be set up in such a way that the donor must paint the artwork from scratch, using a specific software that runs on the servers of the AI, and it must deny pasting from outside sources. This would solve the artists' worry that their work would be pasted into it without their consent by people who want to troll them. However, this will not solve the problem of companies preferring the AI over actual humans, simply because the AI can do stuff faster than the humans. So at that point either you are against the AI as a whole, or you will not get hired by big companies, but may still get to be hired by people who want humans to make the art.
