You’re wrong about self driving trucks in convoy. Autonomous driving is probably another 20 years away at least because it’s just too messy a problem and because no company or insurer will trust it’s high value goods to a program that only understands patterns.
Self driving delivery robots with low value cargo already exist and their volume Vs rate of high rate of failure will likely make them viable. But not trucks.
