I personally know how how these systems work but there is 1 key distinction that needs to be made according to the claim he was using “Autopilot” it is not the same as “FSD” (Full Self Driving) the Autopilot is a “free” software in the base model. All it is a glorified cruise control that keeps you in the lane. IT WILL NOT STOP AT A STOP SIGN OR RED LIGHT. I am sorry to say this accident is user error. That said I definitely agree that Elon has over promise and not delivered harming the Tesla company all together. I do believe he should step down if he keeps getting involved with politics.
