I guess, the reason why people are like this is because deep down they Envy artist and wish they could have this talent and work with something they love, but they just can't, but now, with this AI, they are finally able to get a little of this dream, and because you are against it, they feel afraid, and respond with anger.
I'm gonna be honest with, i pretty much also don't care about artist because i'm not one, or don't have any friend who works with it, but i can understand the feeling of having your work be stolen, and having everyone trashing on your for trying to follow your dream, i wish you all good luck.
