You know, I've seen a lot of doom and gloom over AI. Frankly I don't really think AI is a world ending threat. All the important (i.e. military) stuff isn't even connected to the Internet, so really in the worst possible scenario the Internet just becomes completely inoperable or is destroyed. Sure, that will really suck for the first couple years, but the Internet isn't really that old. Well just have to go back to doing things the old fashioned way.
Something you gotta appreciate about humanity is that we're really good about getting into trouble, but we're also really good at not completely screwing ourselves over.
