I'm a guy who uses AI (and AI art) very extensively for personal use. While they do look gorgeous in my opinion visually, they always feel... uncanny. Like, they don't hit the exact image that I'm envisioning in my head. I suppose that's probably because AI art just makes things based on its training data so it can't make what you want exactly.
Art is a forgotten hobby of mine that I want to restart for my project, right now I believe I am nowhere near the capability and quality that I may be satisfied with, but I can't afford professional artists which means I have to skill up myself. I won't let AI art touch my project beyond concept phase. Sure, the stigma is part of the reason, but also... I wanna be proud of my own work. I'm not a good artist, but at least I can say it's my art that I put in my project. IDK, humans are stubborn irrational beings like that.
