A lot of the issues with AI generated images is if the art or images they use, the person who created it was paid each time it's used to make a piece of work. Kinda like YouTube does with content creators.
Also art is only used from artists who agree to let an AI use it for image generation.
Like imagine if Google paid artists a few dollars every 1000 times it is used for am image generation.
