i like to think that most hardcore "AI artist" are just TERRIFIED of doing anything that requires hard work or learning. they are addicted to instant gratification because they never felt the satisfaction of doing something difficult before, and the concept of enjoying a process is impossible for them to comprehend after watching so many people succeed in something that they refuse to understand. complaining that artists are gatekeeping the knowledge of creating art is beyond stupid, imagine thinking that the cover of a closed book is gatekeeping the text inside, when in reality they just refuse to read it because reading is too difficult.
i don't consider AI gen dudes as artists to any extent. if an AI cooks all of my meals for me, that doesn't make me a chef.
