Lol, are you a normal poor peasant? If even you know of the danger of AI, you think those who hold degrees in Math and physics has zero ideas? They obviously know this shit but it was never an issue for sam altman until. Again!!!! DANGERS OF AI WAS NEVER AN ISSUE TILL MULTIPLE 40B OPEN SOURCE LLM CAME INTO THE MARKET. Sam is cooperating because a crackdown is beneficial for his company.
Sam's AI is already ahead of the competition. Elon wants to use the govtn to pause OpenAI's progress, Sam Altman want to use govtn to halt progress of everyone because OpenAI is already ahead.
As a word of advice, if you fall for these technocrats then you will be dooming yourself to have AI as a tool pluck out of your hands. Again!!! Sam is trying to hold back research for better LLMs that will outcompete him.
AI is a disease that is already released into the world, the best way you can save yourself is to quickly get infected while it is still mild and gain immunity. To hell with all sort of regulations, you can't regulate the progress of AI you can only tilt the scale to favor the richer companies so that they have the ability to ride the AI wave.
