All AI requires a power source so it it gets out of control can we not cut the power source? If a self driving car is taking over who enforces the law as far as driving? Do we have insurance anymore? Why? How are we going to buy a car? None of this is making any sense to me. Humans will have to address these issues whether we like it or not before it actually happens. Legislation and rules must be put in place. Those who are in power will lose power if what is being said here is true so it seems very unlikely to me that nobody is trying to ensure the status quo is maintained. Are peopke going to be okay with robots coming into their home as plumbers? Tough sell. Its creepy.
It's naive to assume AI won't radically change the world but I feel it's also as naive to assume that all those on the forefront of AI are suicidal.
