Another thing to do as an artist, and I cannot stress this enough, is to sign your art. Make your initials into a big logo, and then put it next to the main content. If you must put it in a corner, make sure that it couldn’t be cropped out without cutting content from the main piece—with four corners to work from, there’s usually something you can work with.
AI skimmers don’t filter for whether content has a watermark/logo normally, and just center-crop to a square. Nothing drives tech bros crazier than having a good usable image polluted with some mangled-up signature that the model learned alongside the content. Whether you add a program like nightshade or not, adding a signature or watermark in a color that contrasts with the background is the easiest and simplest tool at your disposal to protect your art and pollute training data sets that try to skim it
