they lied to you. Has nothing to do with AI. AT&T with the help of Tata Consulting, Wipro and Infosys set up global delivery centers in India. Right now they are leveraging those business units more and more. I know that because I have former colleague that is working with a team of dev op developers for AT&T in hyderabad. AI LLM models do not have any of the requisites needed to deal with nuance of sporadic problems , escalation points, or situations that call for caveat/niche solutions seen in tier 2 and tier 3 support. Never mind the team building and internal team dynamics needed in managing certain business units. Its crazy how the public is falling for this AI cover story meant to actually hide the offshoring they’re doing on an industrial scale.
