The truth is it should be illegal to have any kind of AI assist without at least RADAR. Its proven, its in a TON of vehicles, and it would solve THIS case at least, where radar would correct the "vision" just like how now a mercedes can go "Hey a-hole, look up else Im gonna slam on the brakes for you!" thanks to simple radar. RADAR doesn't care about how low the taillights are or how far apart they are.
