With the advancement of robotics and artificial intelligence, it's true that millions could become unemployed, but that's evolution, and we must live with it. These newly unemployed, as well as those already unemployed, should receive unemployment insurance equivalent to one-quarter of a minimum-wage worker's salary, at least enough to cover basic food and hygiene needs. There also needs to be a reform in the housing sector to eliminate private rentals once and for all, not to mention the increasingly necessary global birth control. We shouldn't hinder progress; artificial intelligence is welcome, but we must ensure that it contributes to greater social well-being and a better functioning society in a harmonious relationship with this new, almost extraterrestrial technology.
