When I was young, my drawings were terrible, but I kept drawing, and the more I did it and learned from others, the better I got. I am still not perfect, but I’m still doing the work to get to a point where I am satisfied with my skill. Artistic ability comes down to how well you can learn new techniques for doing art and how much practice you put in. There is no “blue blood” of Artists. This is like saying good mechanics are born with oil in their veins, but that isn’t the case, they took the time to learn how a vehicle works, and how to fix it when it isn’t working. Anyone can do anything, it just depends on how much time and effort you are willing to put into something. AI art doesn’t have the same emotional value as art made by people. People who spent hours combing over every detail that they put into their art to make it perfect. AI art will basically be the fast food equivalent of art. It’s cheaper, easily accessible, and lacks the soul of a proper restaurant where the chef puts their heart and soul into every ingredient for their food. It’s basically spitting on all the time, effort, and dedication artists contributed to developing their skill, all because it’s ’easier’. I think AI art is ok for concept art, or small things that are just for fun. But AI Art shouldn’t replace the Artists who made all this effort to be the best that they can be at what they do. Don’t throw away humans for a machine, just keep them both, and have them do different jobs. Humans give their work soul, and soul is important in Art.
