AI art will serve its purpose. Its great for small projects/videos. Hell its even great for artblock in a way - ive used ideas that are floating around in my head - put it through the prompt and it helps me visualize those ideas so i can finally put something on paper. It may even make REAL art/artists more sought after and popular. Art has always been, collectors and museums/galleries are a thing. But real art enthusiasts will now actively make sure and be more proud of the real pieces they buy.
