It's hard for people to be honest about what the future of AI is when their mentality is subconsciously capitalist, and everyone cares less about AIs potential and worry more about whether they're about to be unemployed.
I've been waiting "REAL AI" ever since I was a little boy watching useless remote control robots that did nothing, but when I saw that one Vulcan scene in the first Star Wars reboot where all the kids are in their little pods, I could imagine a future, where side by side, the real potential of humans could finally be unlocked. Teachers wont be replaced, but by their own admission they are overwhelmed and incapable of handling large classroom sizes. It's such a pity that they immediately become defensive instead of seeing all the ways in which it can benefit both themselves and their students.
