It absolutely is possible to get an AI training library ethically. Just hire/commission loads of artist to draw. Pay them per image or employ them for projects and the art will be 100% licensed for ethical use. That AI developers are skipping this obvious step, refusing to employ any artists and just stealing everyone's work, really seals my disdain for the AI wave. The same is happening in research papers and news articles - students and journalists just AI spamming content, both recycled & uncredited.
