I’m a disabled artist of sorts. I hate generative AI, I always have. But, I have a chronically ill person in my life who is far less capable of making actual art than me, and fae uses it. I don’t agree, but this is the one time I’ve stepped back and not said anything. I think in very specific cases it can genuinely be used to help disabled people, especially since fae isn’t using it commercially, but it is so often *not* used this way that saying AI is perfectly fine for abled people to use because it helps disabled people sometimes… is just a really confusing and flimsy argument to make.
