I saw a talk by the creator of one of the big ai softwares (I don't remember which one I'm sorry) but they just kept saying that this was the only way to put art in the hands of the people and acting like all the artists that are good at what they do are somehow gate keeping the ability to make good art. Like yeah I understand for a lot of people who want to draw the learning curve and time it takes to actually get down what you have in your head can be intimidating and can cause a lot of beginners to quit, but that doesn't mean that the solution is to make an ai to make those ideas for you with a click of a button. That isn't art. And it completely misses the entire point of art and why it's so important to us as humans. It's not just about making pretty images, its about expressing yourself and having a creative outlet for tough emotions and the pure fun and joy of creating something yourself. And you don't get any of that with ai. And acting like putting a few prompts into a generator that makes something for you is in any way the same thing is completely ridiculous. If you want to draw, then pick up a pencil. Nobody is stopping you. You can make these ideas a reality and make it all you regardless of what people like this will tell you.
