I remember reading a news article recently about an AI that was programmed to read data and provide answers in as unbiased of a manner possible. The AI would either constantly say it needed more data or suggest more data for certain minority groups depending on the data provided. The researchers tried their best to provide unbiased data however they didn't even realize that most of the "unbiased data" available was actually biased enough to create flaws in any answer. They actually had to halt the project because it was impossible to use an unbiased system since we have little to no truly unbiased data to provide.
