Even if the government changes its policies regarding immigration, offshore staffing and offshore manufacturing adequate funding for the Social Security system will be difficult to maintain.
Because the more jobs that are replaced by AI, robots, and other technologies, and more of our society ages, the fewer workers will be left to pay into the Social Security program.
Meanwhile, more workers will also be replaced by cheaper low skilled laborers like prison inmates, seniors (aged 62 to 71 years), and minors (who are young teens) that are paying little to nothing into the SS system.
The government needs to find another way to fund the Social Security program, or replace it with a Universal Basic Income program AND a Universal Healthcare system for everyone.
Because as more people qualify for SS and receive the benefits, the programs funds will be seriously depleted.
