What defines an "AI Artist"? Is it just the creativity in the idea expressed inside a prompt? This image is controversial, who imagined the design of that pic? From an AI generated image a lot of angry human artists made beautiful creations, so they took inspiration from that? I don't like the concept of AI Artist and I don't consider AI pics as "art", but the main reason is that AI is too simple and manually effortless as a tool, and I can't really say that people who generate images with AI don't have any creative idea. What if I can make beautiful drawings but I have no style an my brain is completely empty so I cannot do much more then create perfectly made copies of other drawings? Am I an artist anyway? An "AI Artist" is the complete opposite, no skill, just imagination, but imagination doesn't count? I'm not defending "AI Artists", but this is so gray from my point of view. Art is just skill? This is the definition of art: "the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power" -Google... The tool is irrelevant here, it's more like the realization of imagination, so why AI is wrong with that? Because it is trained on other people work? And this is wrong I guess. I see it's the lack of manual skill but isn't imagination the foundation of art itself? Of course the value of something that has both the imagination and the realization is absolute against something that has only one of the two but this means that imagination has no value without skill and skill has no value without imagination? I'm confused
