Dear God. We want A.I to make us into better people, not robots. A.I that forces you to 'engage' like a parrot is the latter. A.I that learns what inspires you, and makes you WANT to engage is the former. I'm convinced that if every child experienced the joy of learning, receiving concepts and information in exactly the right manner and order to make sense to them, the world would be a much better place. The feeling that the world is an open book to be explored (and decoded) is uplifting, and the feeling that the world is mysterious and incomprehensible is crushing. I think that latter feeling leads to many social ills, such as different breeds of fanaticism; People fall victim to to the temptations of captivating, yet digestible, malignant ideologies.
