While I agree that the AI can only learn through Synthesis as it's not an individual with their own experience.
We are vastly underestimating the AIs ability to Remix, and this is what we are seeing in AI art that is considered "good" or "creative".
To take two completely diffrent concepts together and merge them together seamlessly.
The thing is those two diffrent concepts, that "Remix" might not have been done before by a human even though individually they exist as separate things that were learned, it could be something completely new that resulted from that Mix between things.
