Even if AI isn't gonna do an existential threat,
Its "best" uses are still in scam calls (I now receive about 1 scam call that is clearly an text to speech a week), scam video's, intellectual property theft, art theft, and many other exciting flavors of misinformation and deception.
Legit uses, not really.
And that is while I like the tech, I think its a fun toy. However, giving up a fun toy to not get my grandmother scammed feels like a good trade.
