As a SWE I just hate how sometimes teams force to come up with AI use cases when it should be the other way round. If you have a problem which can be solved with AI then use AI otherwise not. But there is some kind of kink these companies have to force AI in their tech stack. This is the exact reason why 95% of AI usecases fail. Because no one needs them. Soon enough 95% of AI based solutions companies will fail too. I use AI to write my code and then I check it and debug it. It does make the job faster but it definitely doesn't replace the job. I think the main skill that SWEs should learn now is understanding and debugging the code. AI however good it might be makes quite a lot of mistakes in code and queries.
