The funny thing is all of these people in the panel talking about AI models governed by the Companies and nobody talked about the actual threat also the actual benefit of AI Models. " The Open Source Models" . It is amazing that people think only those big companies create AI Models and people around the world only use those models 🤣🤣 The actual free OpenSource models you can download and use without any regulation and surveillance are almost as good as the once Google , Meta and OpenAI have created. And the scene of amateur AI researchers or open source users are not like Amateur astronomers who would have no effect on humanity whatever they can create or publish , The current publicly available devices you can buy with your own money from the internet is powerful enough to run even the most powerful open source models to either hack and cause harm or to create and help or to abuse or to aspire and inspire . And these can happen all without anyone regulating them. So it is both bad and good just like everything humans do. And that aspect of AI will actually determine the future of humanity not the big companies . I can actually train an AI model without no one noticing it to do something that no big companiy's AI can do because they believe it has no value such as reading sheet music perfectly create Jazz music without any input by humans , but those have value for me because I am a jazz musician who loves helping people become as good as me faster than I have achieved . So also other people could build something without no one noticing extra revolutionary or as dangerous as it is revolutionary and nobody can stop me or those other people who is showing the effort to do these things because it is all happening offline. My take is the side that adapts and grows faster will prevail regarding good vs evil problem . And usually people who are smart and determined and driven by passion improve faster when it comes to complex problems so I am hopeful about our future because of that additionally because of this people who are motivated by morals and good will have more advanced tools in the future to face the wrongly motivated people ... 🙏🙏
