Anyone who understands LLMs and inference engines knows that this current instantiation of AI can't replace humans. It can help speed some tedious tasks, but the statistical nature of the model precludes increasingly complex tasks. As the number of variables increase and tasks grow in size and duration, algorithms will naturally hallucinate and errors will propagate. Unless a human continuously monitors, critical jobs will drift and data products become unuseable over time. This has been demonstrated in the software development realm. CEOs believe software engineering is just coding, but its also, requirements, code quality, functional design, human factors and full life cycle maintenance and nobody is trusting AI to generate mission or safety critical products.
