AI art requires absolutely no entry level skill of any kind, but I do think it's a skill that can be learned or improved upon. Good prompt engineering and knowing what to ask is something you can be good at - just like Googling is very easy but takes actual effort if you want good results on a highly specific topic. However, there obviously is no comparison to be made with actual human-made art, making art and writing a good prompt are two completely different things and the amount of effort and creativity they require is vastly different. It shouldn't be possible to license AI art, since the generator uses far more than just your own input for the result. I do think that result can then be used as part of a bigger project that you do get copyright over - where to draw the line is hard though. Photoshopping an AI image a bit definitely isn't enough. All of this also ignores the big problem of AI art violating copyright en masse by using any training data it can find. It might not even be possible to achieve this, but AI art should only use training data in the public domain (or data it has proper licenses for). All resulting art should logically also be part of the public domain, without copyright.
