I think the rabbit example is a nice analogy for AI art as a whole. At first glance, it looks fine, and if your eyes don't linger on it you won't notice because your give it just enough cognition to recognize the expected shapes and move on. "This is obviously an Alice-style rabbit."
But the moment your gaze lingers, the wrongness starts to come out, and the longer you look the more wrong things you see. The number of buttons, the fact that the things on his collar don't appear attached, the misshapen boots, the fact that it doesn't so much look painterly as much as someone smearing grease of a lens.
AI art only holds up so long as you don't think and just consume and move on.
