Here's my most common anti-AI argument: a) Making art is good for people. The application of skill and time and tools forces you to think, to problem-solve. Self-expression externalizes thoughts and allows us to reflect on ourselves, or pasts and possible futures. it's therapeutic, it strengthens your confidence. b) There are already more pretty pictures in the world than I will have time to look at in my lifetime. There are more movies than I will have time to watch, more books than I'll have time to read. This is true even if we only focus on movies and books I'd actually find enjoyable. c) Given a) and b), optimizing society for the maximizing of output of pretty pictures is insane. What we want is to maximize the amount of people-hours spent making art. This does not mean to abandon all tools. But using an LLM is not "using a tool", you do not create any art. Your contribution is miniscule. If "creating art" is good, we got very little of that good thing when you pressed the "generate" button. I don't really car whether the final product is indistinguishable from something created by an actual human. That's not the point of art.
