I’m calling the robber barons and wannabe robber barons traitors to America. First, manufacturing was outsourced; then, brick and mortar retail was destroyed by private equity owners moving the business to online; now, AI (and later robotics) are taking over creative, engineering, administrative, etc. jobs that employ a large portion of the citizenry. Those CEOs and their syndicates of yesterday and today should be kicked out of society. Capitalism only works for the greedy. Main Street cannot function with Wall Street controlling not only the labor market but policy. I think about France when the haves stressed out the have nots so badly, the have nots rebelled and gave the haves “the business”. That will/could happen here.
