I also hate seeing the “Must be born with it” argument from these Ai thumpers. From the perspective of a slightly different artistic medium(Miniature painting), I can say for a fact that I would not have gotten to the level I have, if not for years and years of practice and learning. I get told I paint minis really well, but never forget the cringey, botched, and paint caked miniatures I painted when I first started. And yet, I still seek to improve my abilities with each new project I attempt. I try new painting methods, new techniques I’ve seen other people use, I inevitably fail the first couple times, but that’s part of the process.
