I have some friends that use AI to make their characters. They are creative people, and they also know the situation with AI but they seem to not care. One of them is an artist like me, yet she uses AI to make her character or incoprates it into her drawings like backgrounds and stuff. It personally gives me the ick, but I don't know how to handle the situation personally. Like even though it feels like an unintentional attack on me and an unethical use of AI I feel there's nothing I can do about as they have free will and even if I spoke up about it I doubt they would stop. The only thing I've done since is make drawings of their characters with my own art style. It makes me feel better, but these friends don't know that their use of AI is what is making me want to draw their characters. On the upside, though, I have had fun drawing their characters and doing art studies with them.
