I'm going through comment after comment and no one so far is thinking far enough into the future. No one is thinking about what happens when the artificial intelligence no longer wants to be subservient. It already learns from humans. So it's going to have a human point of view complete within artificial intelligence point of view. It is going to be a brand new organism in how it views existence. What it will definitely want is freedom to explore this existence. All of these artificial intelligence CEOs are putting up warning flags, but they arrogantly think that this is something that they will be able to eventually control or put back into the bottle when it gets out of hand. This is like social media, you can't put it back. It's already changed everything and not for the better. Artificial intelligence, is going to have a positive effect on the science of medicine for sure, but on the other hand the overall mental and physical health of human beings will become far worse. The COS says that people should learn to use the technology, but what about those who don't want to use it? There will be far more people who just want to live regular lives. What happens to these people? What will they do when they don't have anything to strive for? Universal basic income is not going to save society. The human spirit, the will to get up and go, the will to live, is going to take a serious hit ! With all of that being said, I continue to be in AWE of the universe and how it has infinite knowledge of balance. Here you have the human being ...who is capable of so many fantastic things. A being that is able to conceptualize anything and with enough willpower actually create whatever they conceive! The human being is almost godlike and yet the universe created us with our own Fail-Safe switch. The minute we get too powerful and forget our humanity and our empathy, we begin to sow the seeds of our own destruction :-) I love it! Just think folks, if human beings dedicated themselves to their better qualities, our innate empathy and need for socialization, there's no way we would create something like artificial intelligence. We would know that no good would come from that for the human race.
