I said it once and I'll say it again. AI cannot take over humanity, why? Because the simplest solution (not now but in the coming years) to solve this problem is to implant the same AI knowledge (data) into our brains to be in the same level of intelligence, either that or we will be merging AI into our brains, and thus if you die so does the AI.
So don't be scarred, and don’t worry about losing your jobs, this is a good thing, a good transition, it might feel depressing at first but I assure you, you will adapt with a new purpose, purpose always comes, all you have to do is just live life, and it will come to you on its own.
The only company out of all of them who own AI we should worry about is Amazon, if they succeed, we are all fucked, but luckily they're at the very botttom doing very poorly compared to the rest. Regardless, Amazon is trying to fight back by sabotaging others. Amazon is hiring regular people on Fiverr, and paying them to say good things about Claude and awful things about Chatgpt. So don't believe other people's opinion online because they are paid actors and their opinion is bull crap.
