From a technical perspective, AI will be able to replace most all teachers within a few years. The only thing that will slow down that inevitability are teachers political and societal influence. But that will slowly dissolve through the process of gradualism. AI will be shown to be able to replace teachers effectively despite all the desperate wobbly human centric appeals by the academics. AI will make its way into the classroom NOT as a teacher. It will then be a "teachers helper". Then it will be a substitute teacher.....................And viola' next thing you know you have a school full of full time AI teachers. Why would a school district want AI teachers? Maybe because AI can teach your kids at less than 1% of what it costs for human teachers! Not only that but Mrs, AI teacher will be utterly indistinguishable from a real human being. And she will be most ever smiling, charismatic and fun teacher they ever had! "Hey kids, say hello to your new teacher Ms. Bouncy Cute". And not only that but each student will be wearing their own Bluetooth ear-bud getting special custom instructions and peppy compliments. "Your such a smart boy Jimmy, I'm so proud of you".(insert throwing up sound). Point being, this world is about to scary. and already is. More than you know. And the scary part isn't about how AI is going to take over, but rather about what AI is going to let you see that you couldn't see before. As an aside, consider that wall we're building on the U.S. Mexican border. Maybe it isn't really to keep them from getting into the U.S. as much as it that its going to keep you from leaving? Hmm...
