Generative AI is a tool, however what Jason is doing is equivalent to buying the brush and calling it done. For AI to be used as a tool, it can't be the WHOLE thing, the user input can't just be the prompts. That said, Charlie is wrong about generative AI not being a tool. Anyone can buy a camera, there is no talent required to take a picture. The picture is MADE for you, often processed and modified in the internal software, the user didn't do any of that. Using generative AI to remove items from images, repair seams, add transitions, change the sky, are all examples of using the technology as a tool. I don't find Jason's position on this pretentious, it's exactly right. How he is apparently using it though doesn't fit the description.
