It is certainly intelligent. A.I. may well have rolled the evolutionary dice and hit jackpot with algorithms, these can be considered a form of intelligence; somewhat analogous to the agential feedback mechanisms of individual cells that go on to combine and interact within complex life forms in general leading to higher order intelligence and sapience/sentience. If A.I.s luck continues, it will be standing on it's own two feet sometime around the moment when search algorithms have finished pushing humans into echo chambers and division leading to societal collapse or extinction...
