I know the point of these videos is to get my noggin' joggin' about the potential futures such technology would achieve.
But then I think a certain phrase: "What would be most profitable at the time?"
and then I think future is not unknowable because the shadowy veil of time and chance keeps it covered, but because it's so dark and viscus that there's nothing to see.
The nature of government is to control the people beneath them, and the autocratGPT would give them everything they need, and since more governments are leaning more and more authoritarian. On top of the already terrible implications of this, all that would be required for this to get even worse is a single tinpot dictator to have a rogue AI to hand...and that's it. That's us.
